Weekend Preview 11-18-2022

St. Cloud, MN – The Minotauros look to get back on the winning side of the ledger with a trip to St. Cloud this weekend.  The Tauros come into the weekend after a 0-2-2 stretch against the Austin Bruins that saw them fall out of first place.  The Norsemen meanwhile played the last place Bobcats going 2-1-1 over the last two weekends to pull two points ahead of the Bobcats for fifth place.

The Tauros took the first and only meeting with the Norsemen this season a 3-1 victory on October 9thHunter Longhi had two assists to lead the offense.  The Tauros got goals from Braden Fischer, Cooper Rice, and Chase LaPinta in the win.  For the Norsemen Ryan Cutler has goals in three of the last four contests and Hunter Hanson has three goals over the same span including two goals in their last game a 7-2 win over Bismarck.

In goal the Tauros will again be without Lawton Zacher as he left his last start with injury meaning Dane Couture will get the starts this weekend, he has posted a .884 SV% and 3.10 GAA.  His numbers suffered after a tough weekend in Austin as he had a .913 SV% and 2.21 GAA in his five starts before last weekend.  Meanwhile St. Cloud has run a three goaltender rotation, veterans Ethan Dahlmeir and Tomas Bolo along with newcomer Will Ingemann.
