Weekend Preview 12-11-2020

Dec 11, 2020

Minot, ND – The Minotauros play their final two home games of 2020 this weekend as the St. Cloud Norsemen come to the Magic City.  The Tauros enter the weekend in second place in the Central, eight points ahead of Bismarck.  Meanwhile the Norsemen sit in last place in the Central and are still looking for their first win of the season.

The Tauros are riding a three-game winning streak after beating the Bobcats two weekends ago and then sweeping the Austin Bruins last weekend on the Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena.  Cade Stibbe had two goals in Friday’s win against Austin and is heating up at the right time as he was a St. Cloud killer last season posting 11 goals and seven assists in 12 games against the St. Cloud last season.  Damon Zimmer also scored last weekend and leads the Tauros against the Norsemen this year with a goal and three helpers.  Joseph Harguindeguy and Kaiden Scott each have two goals against the Norsemen.

St. Cloud meanwhile comes in after taking 41 days off due to Covid and Covid restrictions in Minnesota.  The Norsemen have been in Bismarck practicing since last week to get ready to restart.  Jack Suchy, Hunter Hanson, and Blake Perbix are tied for the team lead with two points each; Suchy with two goals, Perbix with two assists, and Hanson with one of each.  Hanson and Perbix each got their points in the series against the Tauros in October.
