Minot, ND – The Minotauros host the Aberdeen Wings tonight in the first of three games in four days.  The first place Tauros have yet to defeat the last place Wings in regulation despite holding a 2-1-0 record against them on the season.

Aberdeen comes in with the 21st ranked offense posting just 2.06 goals per game.  Tucker DeYoung (3g 10a) leads the team in scoring with 13 points, Carter Roo (2g 8a) is the only other Wing with double digit points.  Gavin Payne (7g 2a) leads the team in goals and is the only Wing with more than four goals on the year.  UND commit Peter Thome (2.54gaa .927sv%) has played the majority of the games for the Wings.

The Tauros offense has dropped to 13th in the league at 2.86 goals per game thanks to a recent slump.  Johnny Walker (12g 11a) still leads the team in scoring and is sixth in the league with 23 points.  Austin Martinsen (8g 7a) has carried the offense over the last 10 games however with five goals and two assists.  Derek Frentz (4g 5a) has three goals and four points against the Wings this season.  Lucas Murray (2.42gaa .903sv%) has played two of the three games against the Wings going 1-1-0, Jon Flakne (1.91gaa .929sv%) made 42 of 43 saves Saturday night in taking a hard luck shootout loss to the Wilderness.

Tickets for Wednesday’s game are still available by clicking the “Tickets” tab atop this page.  After Wednesday’s game against Aberdeen the Tauros will head to Austin for a weekend set.  Saturday will be the Tauros November Road Watch Party at Buffalo Wings and Rings at the Dakota Square Mall.
