Minot, ND – The Minotauros are proud to announce that Cater Olson becomes the third member of the Tauros 2021-22 Tender class joining Joseph Blackly and Chase LaPinta as players signed for the 2022-23 season. Olson continues the pipeline of Northstar Christian Academy players coming to the NAHL and the Minotauros with 12 players currently on NAHL rosters including Tauros Owen Hanson and Joe Westlund.

Olson who has five goals and five assists through 11 games for Northstar says he chose Minot “because of the culture and the coaching staff that promotes the team to play for each other. Along with the amazing facility’s to help me continue to develop as a player and as a person in the Minot community.”

Tauros Assistant Coach and Director of Scouting Darren Banks, who first took note of Olson, spoke highly of the newest member of the Tender class; “Character, compete and pace of play summarize Carter Olson’s game.”  Banks continued saying that he believes Olson can make the jump from youth hockey because, “he is a player who brings his work ethic to every phase of the game, offensively he is able to find success through his vision and release. He is a detail oriented individual and a quality teammate.”

Olson agrees with Banks’s summary saying that he is, “a team player that creates scoring opportunities. I am a good skater and able to see the ice to make plays and brings a high level of compete to all areas on the ice.”
